Is there a recent problem with BitDefender Total Security "damaging" incoming POP emails

My household recently moved from AVAST antivirus to BitDefender. Over the last several days, my wife's Outlook 2024 and my Thunderbird email clients have collected numerous emails from my email server that show a blank "subject line" and no "from" address. Also the html is changed to plain text which make the emails very difficult to read! We tried turning off BitDefender's "antispam" and its email "on-line threat protection" and the problem continues. When I temporarily remove BitDefender, the problem seems to go away. This is unacceptable for us! The emails in question are/were sent to us from "good" sources such as public television and the Tulsa World newspaper's master gardeners.

Hello,

There are multiple threads on this topic right now, so I'll do my best to share this information across all of them, so please, if you know people affected by this issue or if you came across this topic on other forums, it would help the community to spread the word.
The developers reverted the changes made in the last signature update and this should do the trick until a permanent fix is deployed. Just click on update in systray and reboot once completed. But keep in mind this change is being rolled out gradually, so it may not reach everyone at the same time..

To resolve the problem temporarily, I am using the server email system to receive my e-mails. But then I have to copy the texts and use my Thunderbird to send replies by pasting them when I send any emails..before responding. The outgoing emails seem to be working. The incoming still the same!

Thank you all for the answers and follow-up. I'm glad the developers decided to take care of this now. Making uses wait on a permanent fix would not be a popular decision.
