Hi,
To add here, I think this can happen. Because Lightroom usually works with large catalogs and image libraries. Every time Lightroom reads or writes data, previews, or image files, the antivirus may scan them in real time. I know someone who was using this software in the past and they did run into a few issues, but they were using a different antivirus at that time. The thing is, this extra check by the antivirus software can add noticeable lag when importing, exporting, or editing, so I think this can be expected.
Keep in mind that the security software performs background updates, scheduled scans (if previously set), and cloud lookups all the time. If these coincide with Lightroom’s heavy operations, like batch exporting, system resources may be used intensively, resulting in performance dips.
Like Flexx suggested above, there are ways to improve the system performance by simply excluding Lightroom’s working directories from real-time scanning. Typical folders to consider:
Also, if your images are stored on NAS or external drives, disable scanning of network/external drives in Bitdefender.
Furthermore (and this goes without saying), avoid running full scans while editing or exporting large sets of images, or scheduling scans while working on the device. Bear in mind that Bitdefender also has a Work Profile available for use, and this reduces background activity (updates, scans, notifications, etc.) when working with apps. Enabling this profile may considerably improve performance. Here's more info about it:

I hope this helps.
