A few days ago, I was trying to download and instal a videogame mod. I came across a website to download this mod. I don't remember the website and my browser history has been cleaned. Bitdefender initially prevented me accessing the site, but I proceeded to download it anyways (I know I did wrong) and when proceeding to install the mod apparently it also installed something that hijacked my web browsers.
Now my Edge browser has this Norton Safe Search Enhanced extension, and my Chrome browser has this SafeySearch - Safety First Search Engine extension. My browsers now say that they are managed by my organization (I'm using my personal computer so no organization should be managing my computer) and I am unable to delete those extensions as they are locked and their "settings are manages by my administrator"
I need help to clean my pc please! I tried bitdefender, also the "mrt" command in Run, cleaning the registers, CCleaner and and EmsisoftEmergencyKit but the extensions still persist.
Those extensions redirect my searches to "https://safeysearch.com"
