Hi to all, I hope you guys have a great day.
As you can see in the picture, this problem doesn't need an explanation. What is causing this issue? Is this a new threat that Bitdefender hasn't encountered before? In any case, why can't Bitdefender find the program or process name? Can I find it manually?
Hello,
For the alert not displaying the path, this was a temporary glitch fixed in the latest version 27.0.55.283 released on November 7:
• ✔️ Fixed an issue causing blank notifications from Online Threat Prevention
As for the alert concerning the untrusted certificate, this is triggered by the Encrypted Web Scan feature, part of OTP. Bitdefender’s Online Threat Prevention module triggers these alerts when attempts are made to access websites that have expired or untrusted SSL certificates. SSL certificates encrypt data exchanged between a user’s browser and a website, ensuring a secure and private connection by validating the website’s identity and safeguarding sensitive information. When certificates expire, or if there's a mismatch, it might pose a potential risk.
The notifications you’re seeing are a proactive measure by Bitdefender to block connections to websites that lack a valid SSL certificate, or an untrusted one. Typically, these alerts might pop up when visiting websites with numerous advertisements or certain analytics companies whose certificates have expired. They may be encountered also when some plugin or browser extension is trying to connect or redirect to certain URLs that could pose a threat.
