How to change existing data directory of Bitdefender without disrupt functionalities on windows ?

I asked this question to different AIs.. they provide me following steps -

1. Open Bitdefender settings
2. Navigate to general / advanced settings tab
3. Find settings related to "Data" or "Storage"
4. Change the Data Directory
5. Save changes and restart Bitdefender
   

But the problem here is, there no such option related to change data directory in anywhere in bitdefender! I also go through User guides / manual for Bitdefender Total Security and Free version both, but did not help at all.. As having issue related storage and space, I generally prefer to install softwares on custom location or change data directory to other location.. also from stop being slow down performance I prefer different drives. But here I am unable to find any option for both!!!

Can anyone help how to change existing data directory of Bitdefender without disrupt functionalities on windows ? I have Bitdefender consumer free version, and because it is new I am enjoying all the features of Total Security version for 30 days on windows platform. The app displays " Bitdefender Total Security ".

Hello,

You cannot simply move Bitdefender’s folders. Security products like Bitdefender need to regularly access their data quickly and reliably. Hard-coded locations help ensure the product stays functional and protected against tampering or instability. The software installs and stores its program files and update data in system locations managed by Windows and Bitdefender itself. Also, moving program folders manually is not recommended and will likely break the app.
