VPN Split Tunneling not working

OS: Windows 11 Pro

Software: Google play game PC

Game: SD Gundam G Generation Eternal

I added bitdefender VPN Split Tunneling to all EXE files under C:\Program Files\Google\Play Games and still get 483 errors. Once I turn off the VPN, I can play normally.

Does anyone have any relevant solutions?

Hi,

I think the most likely explanation here is that the game or emulator is still using a process outside that folder.
Split tunneling is working fine my opinion.. As far as I know, Google play games on PC is not just a normal single Windows app, it basically runs Android games through a Google-managed virtualized environment. And because of that, network traffic may be generated by helper services, virtual network components, Google update/auth processes, or game-specific processes that are not located directly under c:\program files\google\play games.
So in this case, perhaps the game can only be played with the VPN off..

However, you can try to switch the server to the same country or region as the user/game account, then retry. Also, check task manager while the game is running and add any Google, play games, Android, emulator, update or crash handler processes that appear. Look especially under c:\program files\GoogleC:\program files (x86)\GoogleC:\program files\Google\play games services, if present, and any game-specific process launched after SD Gundam starts.
You can add the website and domain to split tunneling as well. This helps if the launcher executable is bypassed but authentication endpoints are still routed through VPN.

Keep in mind that Anti-tracker can also interfere with sites or services that rely on tracking or telemetry endpoints, so make sure to disable this in the VPN app before testing again.
Switching between VPN protocols and changing DNS is another thing to try.

There might be something else that the game is using to run that you have to add to the split tunneling. Do you run the game through a game launcher like for example steam? If so add that to the split tunneling as well and see if it works.

I am using the official Android emulator from Google, called Google play games on PC, and I have added all the EXE files in the folder where the Google Android emulator is installed, so basically it has been added.
