I've been troubleshooting a Windows 11 system over the past few weeks and noticed something interesting.
The machine itself is fairly capable, but users occasionally report delays when accessing cloud-based applications. The issue isn't constant. Sometimes everything works normally, and then certain web applications take longer to load, sync, or refresh data.
After checking network usage, browser extensions, Windows updates, and background processes, I started wondering whether security software could sometimes contribute to these delays through web scanning, SSL inspection, firewall rules, or real-time protection modules.
I'm not suggesting this is a Bitdefender issue. In fact, I've generally had a good experience with it. I'm just curious whether other Windows users have noticed similar behavior when using cloud-based business tools.
One example is workforce management platforms that handle attendance records, leave requests, and payroll data through the browser. We recently tested an employee attendance management system and noticed that performance could vary depending on security settings, browser configuration, and network conditions. The platform itself wasn't the problem, but it raised questions about how endpoint security and cloud applications interact.
Has anyone here experienced slower performance with web-based business applications on Windows 11? If so, were you able to identify the cause?
I'd be interested in hearing whether the issue was related to antivirus settings, browser security features, DNS filtering, VPN usage, or something else entirely.
For context, one of the platforms we evaluated was Vertex-HCM, but the behavior seemed more related to the Windows environment than to any specific application.
