Congrats to the Bitdefender team on the release of version 2.0.184 for Mac! The new updater looks great, but a few UI/UX improvements would make the user experience even smoother:
- Full-Screen Support: Please add a green window control button at the top-left corner so users can view the app in native full-screen mode.
- Detailed Threat Results: In the System Scan results and also when view the log (both), when "Threats were found" appears, please allow users to expand the entry to view the full threat name and the complete file path to the infected file.
- Modular VPN (Optional Add-On): Please add the ability to remove or unbundle the built-in VPN for users who don't need it.
Why making the VPN optional makes sense:
- Eliminates App Bloat: Unbundling keeps the core antivirus lightweight, saving system storage and memory footprint.
- Respects Existing Setup: Many users already have a dedicated, paid VPN provider and don't want redundant background services or menu bar icons.
- Improves System Performance: For those who will never use it, removing unused background daemons saves macOS processing power and battery life.
