Failed To Desinfect - Worm.generic.557931 (Win.exe)

Hello everyone,

Just purchased the Bitdefender Plus today and I'm running it on a Windows 7 x64. The antivirus detected this following threat when I was running the full scan.

It says it is a Worm.Generic.557931. And is located at C:\Windows\Setup\scripts\win.exe

However, it seems that Bitdefender isn't able to delete it.

Everytime I put 'Delete' as an action, it says 'Failed to Desinfect'.

How can I resolve this threat or how should I proceed on the matter?

Hello,

Please reboot the machine in Safe Mode and run the On-Demand Scan under Safe Mode it should be easier for the product to remove the threat.

You can find the On Demand Scanner in C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender 2016 under the name odscanui.exe

I did what you said, but the On Demand Scanner didn't detect this Worm.Generic.557931 again.

So I guess Bitdefender managed to desinfect it later.
