Hi Member,
Bitdefender had linux based product for consumer in the past called Bitdefender Antivirus Scanner for Unices (https://www.bitdefender.com/site/Store/viewProduct/antivirus-for-unices.html) .The product has been discontinued and even if you click on download in the link stated, it will redirect to Bitdefender Gravity Zone product which is for enterprise version, which means currently the linux based product is only supported for enterprise .
Kindly drop an email to bitdefender support staff at bitsy@bitdefender.com if you need further information.
If this helps kindly click on agree/ accepted.

OK, against my better judgement I will try the ClamAV solution. Using instructions from the following URL.

Hi Member,
Since at present there is no consumer version of Linux product from Bitdefender, it will be better to opt for ESET instead of ClamAV.
There was a test done by AV TEST for Linux product, have a look at results
Hope this helps.

thank-you very much. I appreciate the recommendation. Upon a quick search it appears as though the ESET solution only applies to Intel x86/x64 cpu. RaspberryPi uses ARM cpu. If you are aware of an ESET build running on RaspberryPi / ARM, please let me know.

Well, on researching it seems that only CalmAV will run on RaspberryPi.
