Bitdefender Virus Scanner won't start, error -1073741824
Can't start Bitdefender on my Mac, running MacOS Catalina 10.15.7.
The message I'm getting is:
The operation couldn’t be completed. (Couldn't start the services error -1073741824.)
If the problem persists, please contact the Bitdefender support team.
Deleted the app and re-downloaded it from the App Store, but with no success.
Please help.

Well bitdefender support does not entertain any queries related to free version and redirect the free user to community forum. But if you have the error code shown up, you can ask the support to share the same with development team.

I see, I'm asking as I already asked the tech support and when they heard it's about the free version, they've directed me to this forum. I'm kind of lost now.. I will give it a try with the email you shared above. Thank!

If you’re trying to access your Bitdefender security program but the main interface cannot be displayed, this means that the program was not installed properly. This is probably due to an older kit being used during the installation process.
To fix this issue, here’s what you’ll have to do:
1. Uninstall the Bitdefender security software from the Control Panel

And one guide on uninstall for mac said to go into the Bitdefnder folder. There isn't one. Just the .app
