Box 2 Compatible with Nest WiFi?

I was wondering if the Box 2 was compatible with WiFi extenders like Google's Nest WiFi pods? I was using a traditional router for a while but the range isn't big enough. I need a system like the multiple WiFi pods google offers to reach everywhere in my house. I read in the past that the Box 2 couldn't work with mesh WiFi systems like this and was wondering if it was still true in 2020. If it can't work, can someone recommend a way to increase my WiFi range more?
