New device and subscription

Hope you are well.
I bought a new laptop and installed Bitdefender from my account. My current subscription allows only one device.
So what i did is I removed my subscription from the old device and assigned to the new one. However, my account now shows me that I don't have active device.
Can you kindly advice what I have done wrong.
