I was told to reinstall my product then contact support. Anyone with the IQ of a shoe and zero experience with Bitdefender could post that.

I guess participation awards are still a thing.

You are always provided with the solution first. If that does not work, you will be asked to reinstall the product (which is a routine procedure on the forum to ensure that Bitdefender product is working correctly). If that also fails, the solution will be to contact Bitdefender support via the Bitdefender website, as support on the community forum is limited to these steps only.

Since Bitdefender was blocking the phishing website for me and not for you, it indicates that there is something wrong with your installed Bitdefender product.

As the moderators and administrators on the community forum know, there's a high probability that if you contact Bitdefender support, they will advise you to reinstall your Bitdefender product. If that fails, they will ask for the respective Bitdefender logs. That is how Bitdefender support also works.

This community is an environment where Bitdefender users, enthusiasts and fans can engage, exchange ideas, support each other and share their knowledge and solutions. It is also a place of ideation and provides valuable feedback to the product development teams. The forum is filled with useful information, articles and guidelines, however, in the event a solution is not found in the community, usually more details are required for troubleshooting, such as logs coming from the affected devices and in some cases, remote interventions must be scheduled. This will help the engineers obtain a better understanding of the context and the circumstances involved. Such specific operations cannot be carried out on the public forum, thus it is recommended to contact the Bitdefender Support Teams, for a more detailed investigation in these scenarios.

There are indeed some limitations in the support we can provide here. On the forum, help comes from users such as yourself, some may be more experienced in the field, while others are just getting started. But together we can come up with solutions and workarounds and we do our best to share insightful information that would benefit all those who enter this community.

It's true that some questions may not find their answers here, but this doesn't mean that we shouldn't give recognition to our most active members. Some contribute almost everyday on their own time, trying to help fellow peers voluntarily. Yes, it would be nice if everyone closed the loop and gave us feedback on each solution or suggestion we post, but that doesn't always happen and there are times when we don't really know if what we wrote helped the ones who reached out, because we don't always get a thumbs up/down or a follow up message. So it's difficult to quantify exactly how helpful we were in some cases..
