Error Code -1002 During Bitdefender Update. Any Help?
Just checked my notifications, and it appears that updates have been failing since Nov. 25th. When I try to, it says update error and that I need to check my internet. I checked, and my internet is fine. PLEASE HELP! My windows defender says to update it. I have tried using a mobile hotspot and a separate wifi connection.

Since you already checked your internet connection and the connection is fine/stable, but the issue still persists, do the following steps:

Repair Bitdefender, by following these steps:

If the instructions from Step 1 didn't help, uninstall the Bitdefender program using the Uninstall Tool:
It will completely remove the program.
Next, reinstall Bitdefender from your Bitdefender Central account and see if the issue has been solved, as reinstalling the program usually solves the issues.

If the instructions from Step 2 didn't help, follow the instructions in this step.
First, take screenshot(s) of the issue,
create a log file on your Windows device using Bitdefender Support Tool, by following these steps:

Next, contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by e-mail:
with short description of the issue.
After that, you will get an automated reply by the Bitdefender Customer Care Team, with your ticket number.
Now, in reply to that automated reply, you can send the screenshot(s) you already took and the log files you already created.
Since you are all done, just wait for the support engineers to investigate your issue and find a solution to fix the issue.
Remember that the screenshot(s) and the log files will help a lot to the support engineers for better and faster investigation on your issue and finding a solution.

Hello, thank you for the reply! Step 1 and 2 did not work, but I have contacted support with all the logs you said. What should I do in the mean time? Windows defender thinks that Bitdefender is outdated still.

In the mean time, you could update Bitdefender’s threat definitions OFFLINE:
The update package is called weekly.exe and is released every Friday.
Simply, there is nothing more that can be done here, except to wait for a reply by Bitdefender Support.

Hi, thanks but I just realised something. I think its a build version that I can't download and not an engine version so offline updates may not work. My current build is 26.0.30.102, which is outdated compared to 26.0.32.109 which is the latest. Is this something serious that I need to install?
