Why Is Bitdefender Blocking Gmer Well-Known Rootkit Detector Tool?
Gmer is a well-known rootkit detector tool. Bitdefender marked an older version from 2013 as malicious and Bitdefender blocked Chrome from downloading an update.
Is Gmer really malicious?

As checked the file is a pup/pua and hence blocked by bitdefender and many other antimalware vendors.
