I have successfully un-installed Bitdefender total security from my Windows 11 laptop, but it has left an entry "Bitdefender Agent" in the list of installed programs. But when I try to un-install it an error box pops up that says "Windows cannot find C:\Program Files\Bitdefender Agent\26.0.1.244\installer\installer.exe"
I checked, and the folder C:\Program Files\Bitdefender Agent does actually exist and contains numerous files, but the folder name beneath it is 26.0.1.246 (not 244 that the error message mentioned).
I'm assuming that a Bitdefender update must have screwed up and left the wrong version number in the installed programs list.
So I guess somehow I have got to remove the orphan 26.0.1.244 entry in the list of installed programs, AND manually remove the entire C:\Program Files\Bitdefender Agent folder tree.
How can I clear this mess up?
