Error Message for twemoji.maxcdn.com

I keep getting this message: Feature: "Online Threat Preventionmsedge.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an unmatching security certificate to twemoji.maxcdn.com. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since the used certificate was issued for a different web address than the targeted one."

What is twemoji.maxcdn.com and is it safe? I have gotten up to 64 notifications in two or three hours.

This issue is often reported by users of Bitdefender and it’s related to the TLS/SSL scanning feature which sometimes conflicts with Microsoft Edge. The message you’re seeing means that Microsoft Edge (msedge.exe) tried to establish a connection using a certificate that is not trusted. This could be due to an expired certificate or a certificate issued by an unrecognized Certificate Authority.

Kindly check if the following steps help you:

    1) Open the Run command and execute the following commands one by one:

temp – delete all the files in the folder.

%temp% – delete all the files in the folder.

prefetch – delete all the files in the folder.

    2) Reset your web browsers.

    twemoji.maxcdn.com
was a Content Delivery Network (CDN) used by Twitter’s open-source emoji library, Twemoji. Twemoji is a simple library that provides standard Unicode emoji support across all platforms.

However, it appears that MaxCDN, the service previously hosting twemoji.maxcdn.com, has shut down. This could be why your security software is flagging the connection as potentially unsafe, as the certificate for twemoji.maxcdn.com may no longer be valid.
