When I try to update my mac bitdefender blocks the updates and I have to disable bitdefender in order to be able to download macos updates.

Reboot the machine, try to update macOS to reproduce the issue, then run the profiler tool to gather the product logs, then send the logs to the Technical Support teams for further assistance.
