Dropbox Online Scan

I would like to scan my Dropbox online BEFORE I download the files locally on the mac, is this possible with aby Bitdefender product?

No, Dropbox itself doesn't offer built-in scanning and Bitdefender currently doesn't scan directly within Dropbox.

Here's what you can do:

1) Scan after Download: This is the most common approach. Download the file and then scan it with your Bitdefender antivirus software. Bitdefender should automatically scan downloaded files.

2) Real-time Protection: Make sure your Bitdefender software has real-time protection enabled. This will scan files as they are downloaded or accessed on your Mac, offering some protection.

Thanks. Do you know of any products that can currently scan directly on the Dropbox? (unfortunately the two options you mention are not suitable for me)

As far as I know, currently there is no antimalware that has the capability of scanning Dropbox files directly before you download them. The best option here is to contact Dropbox support ( https://www.dropbox.com/support ) or ask the question in the Dropbox community forum ( https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/English/ct-p/English# ).
