Here is a list of options that can be disabled in Bitdefender to lower the number of notifications to help it be a little more quiet, and in the background. Remember though, that turning off some of those features could be something you may want to leave enabled with a notification (Safepay, Profiles, etc.) otherwise you would need to enable them manually.
The first thing that can be done is on the main BD dashboard is to click on any of the notifications on the Autopilot panel. There may be 2-3 recommendations if it’s a new install. By clicking those and going through the steps it asks, it will remove it from the panel. You may need to enable a feature, but then you can disable it once you’re done. Then it will look like the example below.
For Special offers and recommendation notifications, they can be disabled by going to the left side of the panel, Settings/General are turned off there.
For VPN Premium free trial notifications, and you will not be using the free version, you can uninstall that product by itself, by going into Apps/Apps & features, or from Control Panel/Programs and Features.
If you keep the free version or buy the Premium VPN, notifications and options can be found in the Settings.
Profile notifications can be disabled from the left side panel, Utilities/Profiles/Settings and disable Activate profiles automatically.
Miscellaneous notifications:
Safepay notifications can be disabled by going to the left panel Privacy/Safepay/Settings/Settings and disabling them according to your preferences.
If you want to disable any notification regarding the video and audio (webcam and microphone), that can be found in Privacy/Video and Audio Protection/Settings/Settings. Just remember, if you turn them off, it could take a minute or two to remember why they're not working at a time you may need them.
Also, any threat notifications that pop up in the lower right corner of our screen cannot be disabled, it is there for our benefit to let us know of an issue Bitdefender security has found.
Anyone feel free to add to this list what I may have missed or overlooked, as this is not a locked thread 😊 And thanks to @Gjoksi, who posted some of these insights in other threads.
