Manage password greyed out
The section to "Manage Password" is greyed out in the Dashboard settings/General tab of Bitdefender Total Security. Is this normal or is something wrong?
Thanks in advance,
Rhonda

Thanks, Scott and Gjoksi.
I might have another question later if I don't find it under the life preserver. Some sections just seem different and I guess they changed some things in the program recently.
Thanks again,
Rhonda

Hello.
If "Password protection" is disabled, than it will be greyed out, which is normal.
But, if "Password protection" is enabled, than it will be NOT greyed out:
Regards.

Just to add, here is some follow-up information regarding password protection (I personally don't use it).
2.1.3. Password-protecting Bitdefender settings If you are not the only person with administrative rights using this device, it is recommended that you protect your Bitdefender settings with a password. To configure password protection for the Bitdefender settings: 1. Click Settings on the navigation menu on the Bitdefender interface. 2. In the General window, turn on Password protection. 3. Type the password in the two fields, and then click OK. The password must be at least 8 characters long. Once you have set a password, anyone trying to change the Bitdefender settings will first have to provide the password. Important Be sure to remember your password or keep a record of it in a safe place. If you forget the password, you will have to reinstall the program or to contact Bitdefender for support.
That information can be found in the user guide by going to the top of the BD Dashboard, and ticking the "life preserver".
Gjoksi also did a wonderful job in creating a PDF download thread of all the user guides.
Just thought I'd mention it.
Scott
