Bitdefender blocking Forza Horizon 5
Hi,
After a recent update BD block FH5. I created rules everywhere to allow the FH5.exe to communicate. The only way to get it to work is disable BD shield.
This is obviously not ideal.
How can I fix this?
Thanks
Mark.

Hello,
The engineers were unable to reproduce any incompatibility issues with Forza Horizon 5. Any previous technical issues where resolved via an automated update at that time, following multiple reports. The blocking you have experienced might be an isolated issue locally, thus my recommendation is to get in touch with our Technical Teams for a more detailed investigation of the rules and Firewall, as this is most likely the root cause here.
Kindly follow the steps provided by @mrmirakhur above and let us know how it goes. We appreciate if you could share the outcome with us, so we can help other members that might encounter this situation as well.
Best regards

@SamuelMoore I think it will be necessary for the engineers to have a closer look at this, thus kindly get in touch with our Support Teams, as more information might be required for troubleshooting.
You can reach our engineers by choosing one of the contact methods available here:
https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/
Simply scroll down to the bottom of the page and choose your desired contact channel. I would recommend raising a ticket, because logs could be required at later stages during the investigation and this way you can also attach the information, if requested.

I have the same issue.
Forza launches, first intro clip ends and the game just freeze.
Disabling BitDefender allows game to run.

It is not possible to add Firewall rule exception for Forzahorizon5.exe because it is in protected space. Even selecting it returns "Invalid application path" in BitDefender. The only way to play Forza now is to disable Shield.
PS: Forza Horizon 5 had huge update last month (introduced new DLC - Hot Wheels) probably something have changed (comparing to previous year issue that have been fixed with November patch)

Hello @Albioza,
So, the first step would be to get in touch with the Support engineers for further troubleshooting and this applies to everyone that is encountering this behavior with the game.
As disabling the shield is not a fix we endorse, if a solution cannot be found by the engineers, we'll move on to development to raise an investigation based on their findings.
Thus, kindly get in touch with the Techical Support Teams by choosing one of the contact methods available here:
https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/help/
I have asked our technical leads to keep an eye on this and collect any inquiries they might receive, so we can get a better picture of what's going on.

You can play the game just by deactivate "Antivirus -> Advanced -> Scan archives"
The game dont freeze it just scans for archives very very slowly.

I remember this problem. The solution to me was to add the game exe to the exceptions of the advanced threat defense.

I have an issue with multiplayer. It refuses to connect to Xbox live.
