  • Hello.

Uninstall the Bitdefender program using the Uninstall Tool:

    or

It will completely remove the program.

    Regards.

  • Thanks for your answer. The problem is that there are a lot of uninstallation programs availabile, I don't know which one to choose.

I think it's made on purpose to leave something from BD on the computers. They probably didn't think this would make former customers make bad promotion of their antivirus...

    Hi @djcaesar9114

If you were running a paid version of Bitdefender, use the 1st link that @Gjoksi provided, and select the version of Bitdefender you had installed, and download and run that uninstaller.

If you were running a trial version of Bitdefender, use the 2nd link provided and select the version you had, and download and run that uninstall tool.

Bitdefender does not leave any running process after uninstalling. It could just be something on your end that Support would need to look into.

You can contact Support from the link below. Go through the prompts, Troubleshooting until you get to the black Contact Support box. You will have three options, Chat, email and phone support, which is not toll-free.

    Kind regards,

Thank you, this solved my problem. It took a while but now my computer is very fast. I will never buy any BitDefender product again and will tell the people I know to think twice before doing so because they take the risk to leave unwanted tasks running in the background.

    Have a great day.
