200mb vpn per day is too little. What exactly are we supposed to do with it? If we go to google images or twitter, it will be over instantly.. like 100mb = $100 hotspot internet at airports

  • Hello.

Only Kaspersky also offers 200MB / day free VPN traffic.

Avira, AVG, Avast, F-Secure, G DATA, Malwarebytes, Norton and McAfee do not offer free VPN service at all, only paid VPN service with free trial period for the service.

ESET does not offer a VPN service.

Finally, you can share your thoughts on the daily limit with Bitdefender's Consumer Support:

    Kind regards.

    Hi @nikym

You could always try the 7-day trial and see if it's for you. Then after that, you could buy it for a month or two or for a year. They really do have some great pricing on the VPN to get you up and running with unlimited traffic and 53 locations.

    Kind regards,

  • @Gjoksi @Scott I forgot to specify. I am a member of bitdefender total security. and it gives 200 mb daily vpn. but I can't figure out in which scenario this 200mb will be enough for me. What scenario do your operations managers consider this in addition to this plan?

@nikym In my opinion, it's more informational, so a person can see what it looks like, how it perfoms and its basic functions, apart from the Premium version, and decide if they want to upgrade from there. It can be removed from the Apps. Otherwise, if it wasn't included with our security, a person would need to download at least the trial version of Premium as a stand-alone app.

  • I think the basic VPN is meant to be used occassionaly, when needed. It's certainly not designed for streaming, but it's a good pair for the antivirus, because if you need to encrypt your data while using public wi-fi or shopping online, it's very practical. And it also gives you a taste of its capabilities. You can always opt for the Premium VPN version to unlock its full potential and then you won't have to worry about traffic limits anymore. The discounted price is also attractive, in my opinion.

Overall, it's nice to have and as Gjoksi mentioned, not all vendors offer an included VPN, not even a basic one, so that's bonus points awarded to Bitdefender for that.
