  • Hello.

Only the anti-malware researchers at Bitdefender Labs can help you with the issue.

You should report the file(s) and/or the URL(s) as false positive to Bitdefender Labs here:

    Regards.

  • Not all versions, but some of the versions of LDPlayer are detected as PUP/PUA by various antimalware vendors.

  • Hi, I've just had an issue with LD Player 9.

And I got this message: The app LDPlayer9.lnk infected with Gen:Suspicious.Cloud.4.Ix2@a0Hm6pni was moved to quarantine. It is recommended that you run a System Scan to make sure your system is clean.

It was working fine up until BitDefender thought it was suspicious. Is this a common issue? And what can I do about it?

Cloud-based anti-malware detection uses the power of the cloud to identify and respond to malware threats. It scans files and data in real-time, analyzing large amounts of information quickly. By using advanced tools like artificial intelligence, it can detect new and evolving malware more effectively than traditional methods.

If you believe that a website or file has been incorrectly blocked by Bitdefender, you can share the details with our malware researchers by filling out the form at the link provided below:

    https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/29358/

If the website or file is indeed incorrectly blocked, the detection will be removed within a maximum of 72 hours. However, if the detection still persists after 72 hours, please consider the website or file as malicious, as determined by our malware researchers, and the detection will remain.

    Regards

At the time of the above post by Vin_Co, 4 VirusTotal scanning engines flagged it, v.1001 but Bitdefender did not.

About an hour ago another PC I have flagged it. Maybe it was an issue with the build and possible adware included, but I wasn't going to save the new version this time ;) So I'm not sure of what BD malware researchers came up with, or resolved it to be.

  • The detection of the file has been temporarily removed and might be flagged again in the future as adware since Bitdefender, unlike other antimalware programs, uses the information provided by AppEsteem to detect any file as a PUP/PUA.
