False positive on Realplayer update?
For a while now, Realplayer has been offering what they term an "Important Update". Every time I've authorised the update, Bitdefender aborted the update.
When I do a scan of the installation executable, the Bitdefender scanner declared it clean. Yet when I try to execute it, bitdefender still kills it, claiming it to be malware. The Realplayer website confirms a new update has been released. so:
- Why is the update aborted every time by Bitdefender
- What can I do to work around that update
Thank you!

Hello.
Only the malware researchers at Bitdefender Labs can help you with the issue.
So, you should report the file(s) and/or URL(s) as false positive to Bitdefender Labs here:

BitDefender stop installation of this program realplayer.exe saying it was a malware threat
I need it to play music from my pc with file extension .rax

Have you tried adding Real Player into AV Exceptions?
Also, a true .exe file can be added into Advanced Threat Defense Exceptions.
Maybe that will help?
Kind regards.
