  • It was more of a corner-case which only happened to you, as far as the devs are concerned.. And it had to do with user rights on the system and multiple users on the system, admin and local. That's about all the information I have.

    Thanks

  • I hope they didn't mean regular user accounts on windows since my pc has only 1 user account and its my Admin account, so I'm curious if they found another bug and fixed that instead:D

  • I guess we'll just have to wait two updates and see what happens. 😅

Update: a fix is currently in testing. Not sure when it will be released (we have one update today and this will not make it into this one), but I suppose in the next update it will be.

  • Thank you so much.

But just in case you misunderstood my problem by looking at the last video I shared and fixed some other bug you've found along the way, let me clarify my problem again:

    1. When a new or updated version of an app tries to establish a connection, a popup appears, which is expected behavior.
    2. The problem is that if I don’t click "Allow" or "Block" within one second, additional popups keep appearing on top (or below) the previous one. They keep stacking every second I don’t take an action. ⇐ This is the main bug.
    3. When I finally choose "Allow" or "Block," the popups stop stacking, but the already stacked popups remain open.

Additionally, here are two other, relatively minor issues:

    1. If I’m typing and a popup appears, pressing the spacebar accidentally triggers “Allow” because it registers as an input for the popup. This can lead to unintended permissions.
    2. When I’m using a fullscreen application, like a game, the popup forces the screen to switch out of fullscreen and loses focus of that window, similar to alt-tabbing or pressing Windows + D. This is disruptive.

It would also be REALLY helpful if a sound alert played when a popup appears. Because during some other softwares' updates (like in Visual Studio Code), multiple permissions are often required. Without an alert, if I step away briefly(get afk, check out my phone etc), the update pauses indefinitely at the popup. This wastes time and interrupts the update process until I return to manually approve each prompt.

The high number of popups should be fixed in the pending update (release today or the next days). The other improvements (missing sometimes the application, dismiss of popup with keyboard) are in progress.
