Re Logging in
Every time I login to Bitdefender I receive a message that says something like "New Device" please check your email for a code. The email takes a while and then I have to enter the code etc. It's very annoying. Can anyone enlighten me on why this might happen and possible solutions.
Thank You

I seldom use VPN. Occasionally if I want to watch ABC in Australia but then I turn it off again.

No 2FA is not enabled. Not sure about the IP. I see this comes up when on the notification so will check it the next few changes

Hi @Spiller
You can see all your logins in the "security events", log in to central and then click on your name on the top right of the screen, then select "Bitdefender Account", then a new tab will open in browser, go to "password and security" and then click on the "security events".
In the security events page you can see all your past logins with the IP and locations.

Thank You, I found the logs. They are different IP addresses every day which. Is this why it wants 2FA all the time?
I thought if the 2FA was disabled then this couldn't happen. What would the reasons be for the changing IP?

Hi @Spiller
Yes, every time your IP address changes and you want to log in you get a 2FA prompt for security reasons.
The most likely reason for your IP address to change I think is that your ISP has your account set to a dynamic IP address so it changes at an interval that your ISP has set.
Years ago my ISP did this as well, my IP address used to change every 36 hours but now it only changes when I turn my modem off for a few days.
If you don't want your IP address to keep changing ask your ISP to give you a static IP address instead of a dynamic IP address, note that your ISP will probably charge you for a static IP address.
