Hi @Rock.87 Sorry friend, but I can't help you on this one. @Flexx is the forum malware specialist, maybe he'll have some ideas for you?
Kind regards.

Hello.
That is not a strange icon, it's WhatsApp's legit icon.
Just right-click on the file, click on "Open with…" and select the proper program to open the file.
If it's a .pdf file, select Adobe Acrobat, Foxit Reader or any other program you use to open .pdf files.
If it's a .txt file, select Notepad.
Regards.

Hi
but that's not a normal behavior of pdf or text files , such files ask permission to open with a selectable software, why there is a whatsapp icon instead ? i never used whatsapp to open files. why did it auto jumped to whatsapp?1 -
@Rock.87 I have no idea what's going on there because I don't really understand the connection between that recovery key and whatsapp, so if you suspect malware or some sort of infection, best thing to do would be to contact Support.

It seems unusual that the Mozilla Firefox recovery file is displaying the WhatsApp icon. The first step will be to upload the file to VirusTotal for a thorough scan by well-known antimalware vendors to check for any potential malicious content. If the file is confirmed to be clean, you should proceed by right-clicking on the file, selecting "Open with," and then choosing "Notepad" or a PDF viewer, as suggested by @Gjoksi. If the Notepad or PDF viewer displays the recovery key, it will confirm that this is indeed your Mozilla Firefox recovery key. However, if the file shows garbled text, you should delete it to ensure your system remains secure.

Plz forward this suggestion on high priority that there should be an easy upload option ( like avast ) of a file to put it in bitdefender labs for further analysis , contacting helpline was a good idea if they could respond in time. thx v much for your precious time.😉
