For me, that process is never at 0% usage. It's like it's always doing something so it always uses upwards of 10%.
-
I have roughly the same issue with cpu usage. No other security apps installed & Windows 7 is fully updated.
-
Ok, 3 days and no answer to my question? I uninstalled MSE & the issue persists. The BD security service is ALWAYS using several cpu cycles when the APP is sitting idle. I need to get this fixed.
-
So you are saying that even though BD 2010 worked flawlessly with MSE, 2012 cannot?
-
It only wanted me to uninstall malwarebytes. It seems to be ok with MS Security Essentials. BD IS 2012 has 4 processes running.
-
HHmmm, 3 days & not a single response. A main feature of BD & it's broken & no one can help?
-
I still need help with this. I am unable to disable the realtime protection as it is preventing me from playing certain games and game mode doesn't help.
-
Just curious, but if it has been resolved, why would that setting need to be disabled?
-
This is getting ridiculous. One minute, it works fine, refresh the page only to find it blocked. Also finding a whitelisted site blocked which should never happen. BD is always updated virus sigs as of this post: 6431352 engine: 7.34511 Firefox 3.6.12 RealTime scan is set to default settings Same pic of error as above…

I agree with breadncheese on this. Another bug to go along with what has been stated is that when adding a second PC, for me at least, the first added will disappear, but when I try to re-add it, it says it's already there.
-
Every app on facebook is different so I do not think that would be possible. Your best bet would be to go to each game she wants to play & allow it when BD asks.
-
Wait, you said your PC wasn't on but as soon as you tried to boot it up, it failed? If that is the case, it would not have gotten the bad update in the first place. BD would have had to update first before anything started to happen. It would have also had to start scanning in realtime before anything happened. Something…

Do you get the same effect without using game mode? I don't have any issues with my nvidia drivers nor have I ever seen any reports of any AV interfering with graphic drivers. So this is a new one.
-
You can disable the services from services.msc without going into safemode, but a restart will be needed to terminate them. You can also use msconfig & uncheck bdagent from starting.
-
Thanks, that worked. Now if only I could add the second PC without it removing the first. As soon as I created a password & hit next, it listed this PC as it should. I then tried to add the second PC & that is when the first got removed. But when I try to re-add it, it will tell me it doesn't have BD installed or it cannot…

Sorry, couldn't find this thread before I made mine. But I need the patch for the 64bit system for BDIS 2010 64bit.
-
Open firefox. Click tools>addons. Look for the BD toolbar & click uninstall.
-
No ideas on this issue?
-
A completely fresh install, including all updates & 3rd party software still does not take a week to complete. Not even 24 hours. Any computer repair shop that tells you that is full of it. There is absolutely NO reason for that to take a week.
-
That is because you are an effing kiss ***, sorry to say but you **** the ###### out of me. You really should stop posting, you got a full extra year, that's enough. I had to rescue 2 other pc's which were in BIG [!!] trouble, and it took me a ****load of time to get them fixed. Right because only people that agree with…
-
Tried it on 2 separate computers, both with firefox. Cannot have the antiphishing toolbar enabled on the latest version of firefox.
-
I cannot find the forum either. I just purchased a three PC license ( VALENTIN? Can you assist me as to what I need to do to receive license extensions? I actually still believe in BitDefender. Send an email to bitsy@bitdefender.com with compensation in the subject box.
-
I wish I would have realized the forums for BD were hidden before I purchased it and installed it, but now it's too late because. You would judge a software based on the forum?? That makes no sense.
-
Ok, L.o.D, go to bitdefender.com and find the button you click on for 'Forums.' Then please come back and let everyone know where it is located. We'll wait..... bdeffedmeinthea.... Since most people know about google, enter bitdefender forum & it's the first hit. The main site isn't the only way. people should know how to…

Phrea, they gave me a year instead. To be fair, the forum is hardly hidden. Plus they used twitter, facebook etc to notify people to contact them in regards to compensation. I am NOT talking about contacting people about the fiasco. Yes, they could have sent an email to the email we used to register our BD accounts with.
-
They changed it to a year instead of the 6 month original offer for me. Just need to know when it will show up on the GUI itself. bdeffedmeinthea, they compare the email used here with the BD account email. Plus there's tickets that had been submitted along with those that emails Bitsy@bitdefender.com for it as well like I…
-
If you read the big thread carefully. They didnt actually test the update. Where did they say that or are you assuming that is the case? Got a link to the post? And still where asking people hours later what OS they were running? That is what you do when you are troubleshooting. You can't give Xp advice to someone on…
-
LOD maybe ? I could not even begin to guess at what happened.

Sorry for the triple post but with the BD antiphishing toolbar enabled, it causes FF 3.6.2 to slow to a crawl when trying to load any webpages. I tried it a few times on various sites with it on & with it off. Works fine when off, crawls when on.
