if i saw a fix i wouldn't post nothing but i did find a solution for the pc it was on.an for ur info it was a fresh install i think they should say 1gb recommended/minimum for xp Hi Jin01, I am just an ordinary poster like yourself, but let me share a few thoughts with you: * There is no fix because I believe the problem…

Oracle - thank you very much for posting your resolution! It cannot be repeated enough - only ONE realtime security program installed/running at a time. Again, THANKS! My pleasure. I would add that if this could be passed on to BitDefender sales team that somewhere in their advertising, there needs to be a disclaimer that…

I have written a few posts now about Vsserv and have finally resolved the issue. Like DanyDan and others have said, if you have other security software in your system that is part of your 'start up' or is still in your registry, it will conflict with BitDefenders realtime protection. I had MalwareBytes and Advance…
-
@Oracle: still wanna perform that remote session so provide me with: a phone # where I can reach you, convenient hour and date ; regarding the Malwarebytes the question was if he is using it Registered and with the real time protection enabled. Hi DanyDan Ok what I have done is taken MalwareBytes and Advance Systemcare off…
-
@oracle - I agree with your post. it was well thought out and articulated. Bitdefender seems to be very sensitive to other security solutions even tiny morsels left deep in the registry. There is also some issue with vsserv causing it to either make other programs like Firefox run at much higher resources or hog resources…

Well I did wait but you must be busy elsewhere so perhaps another time. It is 1.02 am here.
-
The incompatibility between the Malwarebytes real time protection and BitDefender is since the 2009 version. you both have Malwarebytes registered and the real time protection enabled ? You should remove it as it will crash the real time protection of BitDefender. I believe your brother doesn't have the service activated /…
-
The same applies for Malwarebytes: if you purchase it you can enable the real time protection and it will crash BitDefender. You may have identified a solution to my problem- I have real protection activated on my malwarebytes. The only confusing aspect is that my brothers also do as well but don't experience the problems…

Hello, @Oracle: I would like to take a look on your PC if that's OK with you. Can we schedule a remote session using TeamViewer ? Hi DanyDan Yes, more than happy for you to do this if we can get to the bottom of the problem

To be honest since the launch of BitDefender 2011 almost everyone dealing with PC slowdown including at startup was due to the multiple security solutions installed on the same computer. Hi DanyDan Since installing BD2011 I have had the same problem, butr then again I had the problem with 2010 for over 6 months till one…

Hi DanyDan, Thanks for your reply. What a humorous morning- Outlook worked this morning without a problem and without needing Game Mode so I couldn't test your suggestions authentically. I will wait and see what happens and will post a reply when the problem replicates itself. Again, thanks for your assistance and quick…

Hi DanyDan I have AVC and IDC activated slider level at the highest for both (ie critical). I also received your email and will complete the tasks in the morning as it is nearly 1 am here. Cheers Oracle

Just a word of thanks to DanyDan for his latest assistance and kind gesture. In previous posts I have express my criticism over the Bitdefender product, but I must in fairness, also say in the last few days, the response and assistance has been helpful, so.. credit when credit is due... thanks
-
I can't believe this- the problem has returned again
-
Hi Danny Thanks for your reply. Just to clarify, are you saying the hardware drivers are causing this? Regarding software, my brother and I use the same software except for printers. The only other diference is our motherboard. I did check my PMs before I posted here and I provided the information as requested. Cheers
-
Hi DanyDan, Thank you for your reply. The solution you suggested worked a treat and the problem is resolved. Many thanks to you and your team for your assistance. Just a few words in reply to your comments: In another post where I expressed some criticism, you stated: The reason why I haven't answer your topic so far is…

I am pleased Nikilet that you received assistance. I can't same the same for myself. Having been asked by DanyDan to upload analysis, posted in threads and sent two PMs STILLNOTHING. I only have 30 days left of this program but it is so disappointing that for three years I have had nothing but trouble, but worst of all,…
-
I have to seriously question how this forum works. what is the point of uploading files, sending Pms and posting here if I don't get some response, even a courtesy to say the problem is being examined.
-
Opps sorry, I was wrong. New day, the issue has returned. Disregard my previous post.
-
Ok the latest BD big update that required restarting has resolved the issue. Alleluia! Thanks again
-
DanyDan, Thanks for your reply. The circumstances have changed. Game Mode keeps 'flickering' on and off even though I have disabled it. There is no point me trying to take a screen shot because it changes so fast I cannot capture it. The Microsoft update I was referring to was the lastest security update and updates for…

I have Windows XP. Since the latest Windows update, I cannot run most Microsoft products, but especially outlook without placing BD in 'Game mode'. It comes up with a pop up 'Send error to Microsoft' and another that asked to open Outlook in safe mode. If "games Mode' isn't selected, no matter what choice you make, it…

Actually there are a number of threads dealing with this. Good luck with it

There were two updates last week for FF. After the first update, the antiphishing toolbar issue was rectified. However, after the second update, this has not occured. If peope are concerned about particular websites, just used explorer for those sites.

I have found the latest posts very interesting. It appears BitDefender technicians till insist that the problem lies with the installation of other software that may conflict with it. From my experience and the experiences of my family this isn't true. My brothers and I run identical software- Bitdefender total security,…
-
Well guys, Good news for me. The problem has finally disappeared after 6 months. Since my last post (number 210) I continued to have the problem until about a week ago. Now the problem has disappeared and I have no clue why, except perhaps an update rectified the problem- timely considering I am due for renewal in a few…
-
I believe the latest update posted by Carmen may have solved the problem for many people, but I hope I haven't spoken too soon. For the last three days, Vsserv has not 'hogged' my system and even when the grey icon appears, the BitDefender services have loaded in less than a minute without freezing my PC. After 5 months,…

Regarding Vsserv, there are a number of similar topics opened and dealing with this issue. Have a look as there are a suggestions posted.
-
Just adding to my previous post, I have found that if you use the suggestion with ctrl + alt + del and kill vsserv process, after an hour, what you can do is go to program files>bitdefender and click onto vsserv- it seems to start up without a hitch.
