Hello. I have been running MBAM Pro and BTS 2014 simultaneously for six weeks on a Windows 8 x64 machine with no exclusions set on either program. No compatibility issues so far... Even though BD and MBAM are running together in realtime, what would happen if malware did get onto the system (or tried to)? If both programs…

Bitdefender Windows 8 Security is a standalone security solution and we will not release another version of it in the near future. All product modifications and improvements will be delivered only via product update. Therefore, you can install the current version at anytime: The System Requirements of the new Bitdefender…

A great and appreciated wish for us all. Thanks. I wish you and everyone else the same.

I purchased Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013 on line from Herman Street. When I attempt to install it I keep getting a pop-up stating 'Bitdefender can not automatically delete Ad-aware'. They recommend that I manually uninstall Ad-aware myself. I have tried every means of locating ANY files of Ad-aware in my computer. I did…

What an utterly ridiculous notion... Just a little sarcasm of my own there Swampster. Sorry you weren't able to see it. I prefer reviews, by people with a name & a surname, followed by comments of users and NOT impersonal comparisons by labs (which are paid for this). I find that impersonal comparison charts are better…

Both being top ranked in everyone's opinion would be good in an ideal world. Could go for top ranked support with a lesser rating of protection I suppose.

If you take a look at "BitDefendrer reviews" on google you'll see, at firsts results, that BD is in top10 but not the best as used to be before, cause of inadequate malware watching, comparing with other AVs. Fairly recent test results: http://www.av-comparatives.org/comparative...s/dynamic-tests (click the graph image)…

Have a read of this post but I don't know how long it will take to fix the problem: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=165484

Well 'yes' in a way. I think there is silence in operation but I'm sure a lot of people would like that. I'd prefer Bitdefender to be somewhat less silent personally but it must be difficult for a program to be all things to all people. I find the silence on the fault where Bitdender does not communicate with the Action…

I just had Bitdefender identify Windows updates as viruses. Files were removed from the Windows Temp folder. I think this was after most of the updates had installed though. I went to Windows update and checked again for updates and two more were found. Perhaps because they had been deleted before they installed the first…

I use EaseUS ToDo to back up my system and this works OK. It makes an image while Bitdefender is running and restores it as a working registered/activated product. I don't see why Macrium Reflect wouldn't do the same.

+1 for this. I used to get alerts on the widget but since switching to Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 for Windows 8, the widget has gone. Now there is no way of knowing that something needs looking at without opening the Bitdefender Window. It would be good if the System Tray icon changed appearance for alerts.

False notifications are back again with me too .. Same here. This certainly is a persistent issue.

Hello Ostraq - I too have a Windows 8 installation that has had no other security program than Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 installed on it. Two points that made the computer work OK for me that might be of interest: 1. Immediately after upgrading to Windows 8 Pro, Bitdefender needed uninstalling and reinstalling to…

I don't know if there has been any change at Bitdender's end? I didn't do anything but the Action Center flag doesn't have a warning cross on it any more. The message in the Action Center about services being turned off is not there now.

The forum is maybe a place where users should be able air their worries, grievances or anything else relevant to the software. However, the problems aired aren't really a reflection of the program's performance in general. People only come here when they experience difficulties. Not many will come to the forum to say how…

I haven't carried out the 'repair' option but the reboot requests seem to have stopped coming anyway.
-
I had that a few times when the connection to the Internet was a bit unreliable. Everything OK in that respect is it?
-
Once I have marked the "reboot required" as read other updates complete normally without requesting a reboot. Whether this is because the system thinks it has already requested one and does not continue to do so or whether it is because the other updates do not think they require a reboot I don't know. The problem comes if…

No way! You have to be able to control it- ON or OFF otherwise it's useless. With the Auto Update switched on, open the interface and click the 'Update Now' button. When I do this, Auto Update goes to 'Off' but returns to 'On' again as soon as the update has completed. So Auto Update isn't left in the Off condition…

Auto Update was turned off too and I'm sure it was turned on last time I looked. I have noticed since saying this, that the Auto Update is turned off when the update is running (or attempting to run). It returns to the 'On' state automatically once the update has completed. It looks like this could be the normal way of…

I suppose that environment where no access is allowed in or out is what makes SafePay safe. I have used it by printing a sheet of paper containing financial site login details and hiding it away when not needed.

Autoupdate OFF by itself! Yes. Auto Update is definitely turning itself off. Waiting for the next update (2123.4Kb) to start. It has been about 15 minutes now. Not slow downloading as in the progress bar proceeding slowly. The update is just not starting at all.

Same here today with Bit defender Internet Security 2013. Pending issue(s): No update has been performed within the last 1 day(s). Status: Not started The download size was given (1016.9Kb) but the download did not start for about 15 - 20 minutes. Auto Update was turned off too and I'm sure it was turned on last time I…
