  • Same problem here. Show thread Raised a ticket and got a rather unhelpful response:- Thank you for your interest in our security solution, Bitdefender. It may be necessary to restart the computer when you have completed the update. We recommend doing it as soon as possible. If you want to delay the restart after each…
  • Hello Have you rebooted the PC from the product by clicking that button? Thank you! Yes - then the next time it updates another reboot is required. There is also another thread in this forum with the same problem, so it looks like something is amiss with BD.
  • Very acceptable 0:42:30 today but started off with this Critical error. Scan seemed to go on regardless. http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/7402/bitdef2copy.jpg No Event warning appeared on either the widget or the main BD control.

  • Hi, Having the same problem too. Keep deleting the folder, but it just keeps re-appearing. Very annoying actually! Looking forward to receiving a permanent "fix" for this. Add another for an irritating re-appearing folder on the desktop whilst Safebox is turned OFF on BD.
  • Like BobR42 I have also been using Safepay whilst Trusteer Rapport is in conflict with BD2013 - and I too have a sudden switch of website to something I did not recognise. I immediately terminated the program so (again like Bob) cannot confirm details. In my case I was connected to my bank and accidentally pressed one of…
  • I think the problem lies in that immunizing the usb stops the autorun program and therefore Windows does not "discover" the name applied to the device. I have noticed in other programmes which use the usb drive that the original name is still there - it is just not viewable until after something has been opened on the…
  • How did you discover the conflict with Trusteer Rapport? That is very interesting, as I have had trouble on reboot with IS 2013 and have finally gone back to IS 012. I, too, have Trusteer Rapport, which helps when one is doing online transactions with a bank. I had major issues (Windows 7 not opening / system crashes)…
  • I have noticed that immunizing a USB removed the identification name given to the USB device and will not permit a name change after - so all USB become "Removable Disk" instead of the unique name allocated by me to help identify which of my four identical red 4gb devices I have in E: F: G: or H: drive. This is not helpful.
  • Trusteer Rapport not compatible with BD TS2013 - caused major problems getting back into windows 7 after a reboot.
  • @golfe - thanks but it is the latest build number on the BD website that is missing not being able to find the current one on the users machine. @Christian - I don't find that acceptable. In a package as problematical as BDTS2012 I have little confidence that the system has automatically updated and require a verifiable…
  • It is a major problem for me that the latest build number is not available on the BD site. How can anyone check if their version is up to date? I appreciate this may vary from continent to continent but surely for major markets is must be possible to have UK latest build: 15.0.35.1486 displayed so that users can reassure…
  • You do not need to compare the two security products! In comparative tests, BitDefender is always located on top positions! BitDefender is the best! Not actually true! In the UK the Consumers Association (Which?) in January 2012 rated BD Internet Security 2012 #18 out of 18!*** It had a total score based on protection /…
  • Christian, Nothing has been fixed with this problem, it should not have been a problem in the first place, it just seems so simple and common sense to not have this be a problem, BD IS 2012 just has too many flaws, it is not worth the $69.95 (way overpriced compared to competitors), and definately not worth the headaches…
  • Not today, but on checking the earliest recorded event (on the update module) was 26/08 at 16:09. Everything before that has been cleared, and not by me. Also just now when I logged in, there was a Critical Warning that the Anti-Phishing was turned off, again not by me.
  • Happened to me too. I note the only response has been to close a duplicate thread on the forum. Not an adequate answer.
  • Going back to your opening post, your stated "renewed" which sounds to me like you already had BDTS installed and were just extending your license for another year. But then you say "...via a purchased DVD disk. The installation seemed to happen fine..." which sounds like you did a new install, so I am confused. Exactly…
  • Welcome to the forum. Check to see if the scan when idle option is selected and uncheck it if it is. This screen shot is from BD Antivirus, so the option may be on a different tab for BD Total Security. Regards, Sorry to post so prolifically this morning, just that investigations seem to keep throwing up new questions. I…
  • Just a note: On both of the .jpg files uploaded on this thread, I get the following error message when trying to look at them:- "Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available." Possibly a security measure ?? Also I now see that the 2012…

Unfortunately I get an error message when trying to to the image "idleScan1" but I assume…
