Hi @MG2026,
Can you expand on the problems you are facing, do you receive any error messages when trying to enable Web Protection, is the VPN connected/disconnected in the process, and are there any other symptoms or specifics that you've noticed?
Thanks
I am using an iPhone 16 Pro Max, and the warning you mentioned about Bitdefender Mobile Security for iOS sometimes occurs due to a misconfiguration of the Web Protection settings on the iOS device.
The simple solution for this is to:
This should resolve the issue. After that, run a new scan again with Bitdefender Mobile Security for iOS to confirm everything is working correctly.
Kindly have a look at the images below. The images shown are the extended views.

Thank you Flexx!
I followed the instructions above and did that exactly. Still, the problem persists, as seen below.
Is the same when I try to connect the VPN. all worked fine for the last months but since the update to iOS 18.3.1 it won’t connect.( for VPN is error 5)
I deleted and reinstalled all Bitdefender apps, tried it via WiFi or mobile 5G network, still the same. all works on my Mac and iPad, other iPhone 15pro or been tested on 14, but not on the 16.
Yesterday I did a phone network reset, same outcome. I ended up doing a hard factory reset on my iPhone, reinstalled all apps and the same, it won’t connect.
Might be a problem with my phone?
In this case, you will need to contact Bitdefender support and tell them all the steps you have performed to resolve the issue yourself.
Kindly contact Bitdefender support by visiting https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/help/
Select, How to's & Troubleshooting Bitdefender products→Troubleshooting→I don't know→Contact Support→ You will get the option of chat, call or email.
To get immediate update, make use of the chat option.
Also, ensure you do not have any ad-blocker or privacy-blocker extensions enabled, as they might prevent the chat window from appearing.
@MG2026 for the record, I noticed that two more users reported the same error message a while ago here:
it’s not only the I phone but also my I pad shows the same problems. Even premium VPN generate problems in both. I have te start them manual every time I open my devices. I received a long list of remarks with we have solved the problems, far to optimistic!
Hi @BHD,
This is an older post from February, and what you are experiencing now might not be related to what the initial OP reported here. May I ask you to open a new thread and share more details with us, for example what exactly are those "same problems", and in what context they are encountered, what errors are displayed (if any), does this happen on mobile data or Wi-Fi or both, since when does this behavior manifest itself and what is the app version? Have you also attempted to reinstall the app? More questions to come, but in the meantime, kindly open a new discussion so we can try to pinpoint the issue there, and if we can't solve this on the forum, I can redirect you to the Support teams for a more in-depth investigation.
Thanks,
Alex
