For the last month I am unable to get past the error message "Restart Device - Your device needs a restart to apply the recent settings changes". MacBook Pro M4 2025 running first Sequoia 15.7, now Tahoe 26.1. Dozens of restarts leading nowhere. Finally uninstalled all Bitdefender apps (AV and VPN) using macCleaner Pro, leaving common files used by other apps. Went to Bitdefender website to reinstall. Started the reinstall process and message came that Bitdefender was installed on my computer. Used the Bitdefender Uninstall utility and reached another roadblock: "Uninstall Error Unable to unistall Bitdefender VPN" Multiple attempts to execute the Uninstall did nothing. So I can't Reinstall Bitdefender. Frustrated beyond my tolerance level. Almost ready to junk Bitdefender due to the amount of time wasted. Any help appreciated. The only module I want is the AV not the VPN. Any help greatly appreciated.
Another point (unrelated). The Bitdefender Dashboard in the browser login said something like "Congratulations- no problems found in the last 7 days" But I haven't used Bitdefender in over a month because I can't open it.
