VPN Interference with Payment Systems

Question

Have noticed an increase in the number of online payment systems that are blocked or inoperable while using BitDefender VPN or other VPN (tested with TOR). Have been able to successfully process payments when the website in question is assigned to Split-tunneling or if VPN is turned off. Platform: Windows 11, Firefox or Edge or Chrome browser.

Has anyone else had this experience? What did you do to compensate?

I guess you could try to use SafePay, Bitdefender's encrypted browser. But then again, banking websites are known to block the use of VPNs and other similar tools due to various security measures they may have in place.

Hi @TimmyGorilla

A lot of payment sites are blocking VPN's for security reasons however you can try using a different VPN server or try changing your VPN protocol to "openVPN" and turn the "scramble" option on, got to "settings" then "advanced" then "protocol" to change your protocol.
