Can you find the easter egg in Mobile Security for Android?
Rumour has it that an easter egg made its way into the Mobile Security for Android.
Easter egg: a hidden surprise or extra feature that is included in something such as a computer game, a piece of software, or a film, for the person using or watching it to find.
The only clue we have is him:
Let's see who can find it!

π I've seen it with my own eyes, but what has been seen cannot be spoken!
It does require a bit of research to find it, as it's not very obvious of course π

The web protection part caught my eye, too, of all the listed browsers.

These were already available in previous versions π

I knew that, but wanted to test @Alexandru_BD if he could remember that they are implemented in the previous release. π€£
On the serious note, i can't think of any other changes in the latest release, except the already written above.

Have you noticed anything in particular when scanning? π

Not yet, just a simple display stating "your device is clean" after a scan π

You are using an iOS and then stating the android users to check if they find something new and that too in the scan section, lol π
Bitdefender is setting up differences between iOS users and android users π
Between the scan option is only available for android users since iOS users don't have the option to scan for malware. This is all going in a loop.
@Alexandru_BD - no one other than me and @Gjoksi are interested in this, so you can go forward and disclose the real truth.

π I won't keep you waiting, here it is:
In Mobile Security for Android, the scanning animation tries to represent exactly what happens during the process: in the first phase, the applications are verified and at the end, the information about the applications is verified in the cloud.
The final part, which is displayed for a very short period of time, is represented by a binary code which if translated, forms the word DATA.
NOTE: when using Dark Mode, the animation is not as clear as the default mode and can be harder to spot.

This is not something new. π
This has been implemented a few months ago, 2 months, maybe 3 months, can't be sure. π
BTW, the animation is easy to spot, since i'm using DARK MODE when it was first implemented. π
I think that Dark Mode and the animation were both implemented in the same release, but as i said can't be sure. βΊοΈ
@mrmirakhur can confirm it...
So, the part "I'm using an Iphone, so I can't test." was actually very, very true. π
Kind regards.

Correct, while the animation is not a new thing, who would have thought that those binary codes actually mean something? ππ

I love dark mode. All my BD apps are in dark mode, TS, VPN, and Android. I like the nice contrast of the black, white text and blue on Anrdoid. It looks very sharp and clean. As things are being resolved with Password Manager, do you think dark mode will eventually be an option?

I am a big fan of dark mode. It just looks so much better than the default mode. And it really helps the eyes, especially at night. Almost all my apps, where available, are set to dark mode.
On my IPHONE I get this cool thing called "night shift", that uses the clock and geolocation of the device to determine when it's sunset. Then it automatically shifts the colors of the display to warmer colors. In the morning, it returns the display to its regular settings. I can also set up specific times for the night shift to be applied π
Maybe soon it will make me a coffee as well.

@Alexandru_BD - you kept us waiting for a feature that was implemented long ago π

Haha, I'm happy to hear it was a funny experience, as this was exactly my intention. π
But admit it, the coding was a nice touch π

That is true, the scanning of installed application first and then the showing up binary codes during a cloud scan makes the application appearance like it's really doing something.
