BD Total Security Detects Regular Programs And Windows Updates As Malware

I am really surprised by these results. How can the antivirus scan some normal programs that do not contain anything and confirm that they are from the original site, not crack? Is there an explanation for these results because I am really surprised

i use version bitdefender total security .. Is there an explanation for this because it blocks even Windows updates

Hi,

Not really sure, is there an error message displayed, or any other symptoms? For what is worth, the windows update issue may or may not be related to the antivirus. I found this article that shares more insight on the possible windows update issues that may occur:

In regards to the assessment scan log, I also think this is a task for the engineers, as they should be able to advise further.

As far as EagleGet is confirmed, many AV vendors detect it as PUP. Below is the virustotal link for the latest version of EagleGet

Okay, I did a little research and found some information related to Neshta Virus. So, neshta virus like sality virus and virut virus try to infect all the executable files on windows. In short, you might have clicked some unknown file which triggered the code execution of neshta virus which slowly tried to infect all the executable files on your windows.

As I can see from the image log, it seems like bitdefender has already disinfected the virus. I would recommend running a full system scan with bitdefender.
