Youtube Videos Keep Downloading Even After Closing The Browser
(BDTS 2011, Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit)
Youtube videos keep downloading even after closing the browser (firefox and chrome, ... no problem in IE).
This problem was there even when i was using BDTS 2010 (win XP 32 bit)
Earlier i never thought this could be due to Bitdefender.
I went to safe mode
then --> start--> services.msc --> disabled the bitdefender virus shield -->
Restarted in normal mode and the problem was no more.
Then i set the bitdefender virus shield to automatic in safe mode and again restarted in normal mode and the problem persists.
Only way to stop download of the video (w/o restarting) is to disable and enable the LAN connection.
Anyone with such kind of a problem?? (This would confirm it is because of bitdefender)

It sounds like you are experiencing the same issue discussed in this topic. Please verify if I am correct or not in that assumption.
Check that you have the latest BD build installed - 14.0.28.351

Latest BD build is already installed - 14.0.28.351
Went through the thread.... but where's the solution ????0 -
Please follow the procedure below to have BD tech support investigate your issue further.
1. First please unplug the Internet cable from your computer or disable the Wireless adaptor if you are using one. This prevents the supporttools files from being automatically uploaded.
2. Click on Start and then choose My Computer/Computer.
3. Browse to:
C:\Program Files\BitDefender\BitDefender 2011
- considering that BitDefender was installed on the default C partition
4. Double-click on the supporttool.exe file - if you are using Vista or Windows 7, right-click on the supporttool application file and select Run as Administrator
5. Click on Next, wait a few minutes for the progress bar to complete and then click on Finish
6. A file will be created on your desktop. Please move it to a location of your choice (i.e. move it on your c:\ drive)
7. Reconnect your internet cable (only after you have moved the file to the new location)
8. Upload the created file HERE
9. Include a detailed description of the issue you are encountering and a screenshot of the error message, if there is one.
10. Send a PM (Private Message) with the download link to DanyDan of tech support. Include a link to this topic and give him as much detail as possible about your PC - exact symptoms, hardware (CPU type/speed, Memory installed, etc.), OS and version, 32-bit or 64-bit, any other security software installed or previously uninstalled. Any other relevant configuration information.
It may take several days for them to analyze the files and respond depending on their workload, so please be patient.

I have this same problem and didn't think it was due to BitDefender either. I don't want to try the above "solution" because it disables certain parts of the software, which isn't practical. For now, I have uninstalled BitDefender and switched to another free Anti-Virus. This is a serious flaw in the software from where I am standing, I searched the forum and it seems like it has been here since 2010. I'll re-install BitDefender when you fixed the issue properly, if that ever happens - I'm sure many others have done the same because of this. Do you have an estimated date that this will be fixed?

Are you just going to ignore this issue? I really do regret choosing BitDefender after all the problems I have had with it. I have lost count of the times I have reinstalled this software, this needs to be sorted. No other security software I know of has this problem, so why BitDefender? This software used to be great but now what happened to it? BitDefender HAS to be losing customers, get your act together.
