I have a similar question, have mailed & spoke with a representative in livechat but can't seem to get a definite response. When we purcahsed BitDefender we were given the option of a 1, 3 or 5 user license, I myself opted for the 1 user license assuming that later I could upgrade and simply add users (for an additional cost of course). However from what I can find there is no way to add additional users to my license unless of course I'm missing something. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Why do you really want to have the same license key on all your PCs? If you already bought a 1-user license and you need to use BitDefender on another computer, just buy another 1-user license (or another multi-user license, if you have multiple computers that you want to use BD on).

You cannot add users to an already bought license, because these keys are generated and registered by the number of users that will use it.

what if you did the free upgrade from v10? i have that installed on my laptop still and have already upgraded my v10 on my desktop to v2008. will i be able to upgrade the v10 on my laptop to 2008 as well?

I assume you have a 2-user license.

In this case, you can use whatever BitDefender version you want (v10 or v11). It doesn't matter when and if you upgrade to BD v11, because the license works.

Of course, if the license expires, then you have to buy another one to be able to upgrade to BD v11.

Thank you Cris for your reply. I don't necessarily want the same license key for more than one pc, allow me to explain. When I purchased BitDefender I was given the option of purchasing a 1, 3 or 5 user license and I chose 1 user/1 year (Internet Security 2008) for $39.95. However if I would have chosen 3 users the price would have only increased by $10 ($49.95) which is clearly less than if I were to do as you suggested and make another purchase once again for the complete package. Therefore I simply want to upgrade my existing 1 user license to a 3 user license. Thanks.

As I said, as far as I know, this is not possible.

But I might be wrong, because I do not work for BitDefender. Please contact Live Assistance and ask them.

Also, after you get an answer, please post here. It would be nice if we knew it for future reference.

Thanks again Cris. Also thanks to the BitDefender staff as I was able to upgrade my subscription from a 1 user to a 3 user license by contacting Live Assistance.

So it is possible to add more users to a license... sorry, my mistake

That depends how many users account you bought. On that amount of pc's or laptops you may register with the same key.
