What's The Function Of 'bdlite.exe'?
When i drag and droped a file such as 'bdch.ini' on 'bdlite.exe's icon by occasionally,it is prompted that 'you have no scan target selected. Please try again and choose at least one of followings:scan files, scan boot, scan memory',after clicking on 'OK','Close',i find there isn't the file 'bdch.ini' any more. Is it deleted?

Hi Dabear,
bdlite.exe is the application that is used for Manual Scans (or Scheduled scans). It is not meant to be run as a standalone application and cannot run correctly if you try to open it without senging it the correct parameters.
bdlite.exe is what you see when you open BitDefender Management Cosnsole, go to Antivirus -> Scan, select any of the tasks and click Execute task.
If you want to quickly scan a file, you have to drag-and-drop it on the Activity Bar (the small graph that you see on the lower-right corner of your screen). Or you can simply right-click on any file and select BitDefender Antivirus.the file 'bdch.ini' any more. Is it deleted?
I have made the test you described and come to the same result: the file has been deleted. I have no idea if this is a bug or not.

Thanks,Cris,
I have already repaired the installation of BD,all the deleted files are recovered.senging it the correct parameters.
An other problem bout the parameters.
I wonder if you know 'flashget'-a real useful download tool,it contains a function which calls for a anti-virus program to give a virus scan on new downloaded files, you can config it as follow:
open the flashget main interface->Tools ->Options->File Manager
(screenshot file is in the attachment)
How to config it for calling the BD to scan the new downloaded file(s)?What should the proper parameters be filled in 'Args'?0 -
I have added the parametre '%1',after downloadsing, the scan started, but it seemed that it didn't scan the downloaded file. The scan report as attachment.

Hi Dabear,
Yes, I know FlashGet. I used it for a long time (now I switched to another download manager).
For your question, check out this thread: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=2155
