Clean Usb Hdd Blocked By Bd As Intrusion Detected

I have a buffalo MiniStation™ Stealth USB 3.0 - HD-PCTU3. When I plugged in this HDD, Bit defender prompted that 'Intrusion Detection has detected and blocked a potentially malicious application'. (I have the IDS option turned on.) I turned off the IDS option and scanned the external drive. Nothing, it's clean. I even added the 'buffalotools.exe' to the firewall application rules but still IDS is detected.

I don't see any other processes running by Buffalo but I could be wrong. Any help?

Thanks.

  • For adding applications to exclusion list of AVC and IDS, go to

    Settings--->Antivirus--->Exclusions--->Excluded Processes

    and add the application you want.

    Thanks for the suggestion but it doesn't solve the problem. The only way (that I know) to use this HDD with Bitdefender is to turn off IDS.

    Hi

    Sorry for the delayed reply.

    Please go to Settings--->Antivirus--->Exclusions--->Excluded files and folders.

    Now plug in your HDD and exclude the hole HDD(with a single partition) from Both modules.

    Thank you.
