Firewall Network Setting Are Lost After Reboot!

Hi all,

Well I've looked on the forum and seen this is a problem others have suffered and was claimed to have been fixed in an update, well I guess its back.

I had the same issue some time ago and did all Tech support asked me to do and yes after an update it stopped and all was well. Well 4 days ago I re-installed my Win7 (x64) system and re-installed Bitdefender Internet Security 2011 and then did a full program update to ensure all files etc. were the latest and to my shock the old problem has returned.

I downloaded the latest off-line install file, used the uninstall tool and did a complete Bitdefender re-install hoping this would fix it, well it didn't and so I used the repair tool in Bitdefender and that hasn't fixed it. I have even tried the fix I found on here by Danny Dan and its still happening.

I'm getting very tired of having to set my firewall network type to "Home/Office" (VPN=Off, Stealth=Remote, Generic=Yes) as I shared my media (music etc) hard drive partition across my home network and unless I add the IP address to the Network Zone I can't access my hard drive from my other PC's.

Does anyone have a fix for this firewall issue or does anyone know how I can share my media hard drive partition with my other PC's without having to add the other PC's IP address to Bitdefender's Firewall Network Zone??

  • Every other day I have to reconfigure my Firewall because the zone settings are lost and I cannot use my network printer.

Why does Bitdefender not solve this bug??? <img class=" />

I am also having the same problem of settings being lost - from time to time. I see these posts date back to Aug/Sep 11 and there has been no response to this problem from Dan. When is this going to be fixed?

    Hi :)

As the new Bitdefender 2012 product suite was released, we would like to inform you that you benefit from a FREE upgrade to the latest version.

Apart from the fact that the 2012 suite brings lots of new features and improvements, it will most likely solve any issues that you may have encountered with your previous Bitdefender product.
