Gui Problems With Bd 10 Antivirus Plus
Hello guys!
I have this particular problem that also occured here: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=269
Unfortunately, the topic has been locked, so I had to open a new one.
The thing is that updating my BitDefender 10 Antivirus Plus didn't do the trick. As you can see in the attached screenshot your fix caused other GUI bugs and the main bug hasn't disappeared.
Nor do I have a nVidia graphics card!
I had a ping cmd window opened in the background... apparently it wanted to come out
THE BUG... after some time bdmon gives this error in the background "A required ressource" (.. was not found // i presume).
Recently it gives it also in german (I'm using Windows XP Pro SP2 in german), alternating with the english version.
I have the BD set to english.
Other side effects:
- the scan activity bar is also at full load all the time until I open the BD Management Console
- when the firewall asks me if I want to permit/deny a program access to the internet, the window is unreadable and unclickable (really annoying)
- the ping window thing already described
I have tried a evaluation version of BD 10 Internet Security and none of those issues appeared (I've tested that 1 entire month).
I think that in the development phase of your products you first made the Internet Security version and then took some parts off in order to obtain the other versions (Antivirus and Antivirus Plus). I think you took too much " />
I have worked as a professional beta-tester so I know what I'm saying. I know perfectly well that bug fixes produce in most cases other bugs. And it's not your fault. You write a code that from your point of view is perfectly working, you test it on some systems, but you cannot test it on all. This is why you need beta-testers
So...my system:
Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro V2085 laptop:
Intel Pentium M 1,7 GHz
512 MB DDR2 RAM
Mobile Intel 915 GM/GMS,910 GML Express Chipset Family
60GB Seagate HDD
DVD writer etc.
MS Windows XP Pro SP2 in german
Thank you for your time!
I hope you get it fixed!
Regards,
Gladiator

Thanks,
I will put a link there for my topic.
Hi Gladiator,
Andrei meant that you should continue posting any questions related to this subject in that topic, not to post there a link. It's easier for everyone to read one topic, then to jmp from one to another with the exactly same subject.
Please continue posting about this issue in that topic.
