I see included in the new release the following:
Auto Scan is turned OFF, even if it's ON in the main interface;
I guess this is the acknowledgement that Autoscan was causing an issue?
So I assume that the removal of this feature we have to run manual scans in the future?
No, this was the issue they solved in this release. The issue was that even if you see the ON/OFF button turned on the antivirus was still OFF but you couldn't see it because of some bug that is solved now in this final release. Now when the button is set to ON the antivirus is ON as is should be.
Hope that I've been helpful.

I might disagree.
In the previous release, there was significant thrashing of the hard drive because Autoscan seemed to be scanning regardless of whether the PC was idle or not.
When the drive was thrashing, and you turned off Autoscan, the drive would settle down and stop. Turn on Autoscan and the drive would become active again. Turn it off and the drive stops. etc etc etc
To me, the button was working properly.0 -
