Too Long Windows 7 Startup With Bitdefender Ts 2012

Hi

A week ago, I have installed BitDefender Total Security 2012. My problem is that with BitDefender installed, my laptop with windows 7 starts abnormally long. My configuration: Intel Core i5, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650, 4 GB RAM, HDD 5400 rpm.

When I unistalled BitDefender (I used BitDefender removal tool), Windows took less than minute to boot. With BitDefender installed, Windows 7 boot time is more than 3 minutes.

Previously I had Eset, then Norton and I have never had such problems with startup.

Please help

Thanks :)

    Hello :)

    Please save the update patch from the following link on your Desktop:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?b5zzaztybk21zn8

    Unzip the test.bat file, but do not run it.

    The password for the archive is: bitdefender

    Now restart your PC in Safe Mode and run that patch(for Windows Vista/7, right click on the file test.bat and choose Run as administrator).

    Reboot your machine in Normal Mode, open Bitdefender using the desktop icon and click on Update now button.

    Let me know if the situation is solved.

    [How to restart in Safe Mode]

    - Restart the computer (Windows Start button - Turn Off - Restart);

    - Press the "F8" key several times before Microsoft Windows begins to load; you need to press "F8" until you will be displayed a text menu;

    - Select "SAFE MODE with Networking" in the text menu and press "Enter".

    - Wait while Windows loads in Safe Mode; this process ends with a confirmation message; click "OK" to acknowledge.

    Have a nice day.

  • Hi :)

    Thank You for Your answer.

    I have done all the steps You provided, but unfortunately, this fix had no or minimal effect to system startup. After "starting windows" screen follows long terming (about 40 seconds) black screen with cursor and after that the welcome screen appears. I don't know where the problem can be.

    I have both "on-access scanning" and "active virus control" set to normal. Also the firewall is set to normal with Intrusion detection enabled. I have also turned off an Auto Update. I see now slowdowns during work, only when my laptop is starting.

    Hello :)

    In order to further investigate this issue, we need some logs.

    Please follow the steps posted over here and send me via PM the logs.

    Thank you very much for your time.

  • Thank You for Your support, but:

    Few days ago, I was forced to reinstall my Windows 7 Home premium due to the many bugs that appeared within the last year.

    Now I am running windows 7 Proffessional. Right after the fresh instalation of Windows, I have installed again BitDefeder TS 2012. Yes, there is a little slowdown when booting up, but I think it's normal, because Total Security is a huge suite.

    So I guess, in the old system there had to be some incompatibility between Bitdefender and other system drivers/services etc...

    So thank You for Your response

    Bye :)
