Td Waterhouse Streaming Quotes (javascript-error 23)
This is the exact same problem the old version had, and the reason I got rid of it and applied for a refund last year. I recieved Bitdefender 2012 as a free trial direct from Bitdefender. I beleive it will go into the trash, as Bitdefnder cannot solve the issue.
Put $100,000.00 or more into a TD Waterhouse trading account. Apply for the president's account. Load the streaming applet for Real Time Quotes. Get only (error 23)
New program, same problem.

I did what you asked. However, your PM interface didn't allow me to attach both the JPEG of the screenshot as well, as the BDSP... file your software generated. I tried to send the file in another PM, however your PM interface blocked that too as one is only allowed to send ONE PM per day.
I am wasting my time with your poor software. I have to do my taxes, and you are using up my time and patience.
I just wanted to load a piece of virus protection, and I am in the battle of my life here. Even free, your software is not worth my time. Whatever happened to you doing the work for the money you charge?0 -

I can see that you are using the .36 build of Bitdefender.
We have fixed some issues with TDAmeritrade and Stockhouse in build .37 and your issue should be also fixed with the new build.
Please press Update Now in the main interface, wait for the update to be installed.
In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

I will have to re-load Bitdefender to try. To be honest, I was getting frustrated, just like last year when I abandoned BD. So I unloaded it and began trying everyone else's stuff on my three machines. I spoke with TD Waterhouse Technical Support. By the way, TD Waterhouse have Bitdefender blacklisted, Just FYI.
They gave me the names of the 'approved' virus software providers. You need to try harder to get on that list. I am sure that this information is unflattering. But I am not into fairytales. I am a businessman, and fairytales are for fools.
I will re-load BD tomorrow and give it a try. I have fooled around long enough for today and I need my machine working for market open tomorrow AM.0 -

I did just as you asked. I spent another 2 hours unloading your competitor's product and reloading BD 2012 Internet Protection according to your post.
It failed. Nothing has changed. I cannot access https://streaming.tdwaterhouse.ca
It seems to me that people who chose BD products are looking for a hobby. I do not have the time to waste. I have a life. I was looking for virus protection, not a night job.
Now I have to unload it again, and reload a competitor's product that works.

Thank you for your feedback.
First of all, please accept our apologies for the situation created. Please follow the steps below to check if the issue persists.
1. Open BitDefender -> Settings -> Update -> here check the box next to "Prompt me before downloading updates". When an update is performed, you will see a box from which I kindly ask you to choose ONLY Signatures Update (do not perform product updates, otherwise the solution below will be canceled).
2. Restart your computer in Safe Mode:
[How to restart in Safe Mode]
- Restart the computer (Windows Start button - Turn Off - Restart);
- Press the "F8" key several times before Microsoft Windows begins to load; you need to press "F8" until you will be displayed a text menu;
- Select "SAFE MODE" in the text menu and press "Enter".
- Wait while Windows loads in Safe Mode; this process ends with a confirmation message; click "OK" to acknowledge.
3. Go to C:\Program Files\BitDefender\BitDefender 2012, find the file called "bdtl.dll" and rename it to "bdtl.dl_".
4. Restart the computer normally and let me know if the issue persists.

PS: Last year, one of your competitors had a similar library file tucked away that caused the same issue with them. Not surprised to hear you suggest renaming a library file to disable a feature. Not much of a fix if you ask me. I would have liked to see a real dynamic whitelist with a decent algorythym that allowed me to select a site for which I could allow or disallow all or some of the data exchange.0 -

OK. I finally got around to trying your suggestion. I started by unloading your competitor's product and re-booting, making sure it was out.
I loaded BD from my original disk, the software sought and recieved data from your server.
I renamed the library file as you suggested. The Java streaming now works, although it's slightly more sluggish than your competitor's product.
I am wondering, did we castrate your software? Will BD prove effective? Will you use this information to adjust the code in a future update?0 -

OK. I finally got the email the second time. I did every one of the overcomplcated steps with downloads, unzipping, booting in Safe Mode, cutting and pasteing. I made no errors.
My goodness. And what did I get?
My machine locked. It beeped. Then it had no internet. I re-booted several times till the internet came back.
In the end, Bitdefender doesn't load. I can click the icon on my desktop and it will run as a stand alone program. But I don't think it's actually doing anything.
It's not in the tray. It's not shown as actually being loaded. It's dead.0 -

OK. I got BDIS working. The latest download (I used the link you sent via email) allows TD Waterhouse Streaming Quotes to work. Am I still protected??? I hope so.
Actually, after about a dozen restarts (I use my netbook at work everyday) the first instructions with all the downloads, cut's and pastes did work. On my desktop I just used the link you sent in my email and it worked. One caveat, it told me I have "GUIDs" on my system and I would have to unload this before BDIS would load. You never explained this, so I had to do some poking around.
As well, I ran the loader straight from the download and it came up with the error message...
"Extracting files to "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bitdefender\SetupInformation\{2AB9289D-6432-4CC0-8869-A195C3F0CFCC}" folder
CRC failed in bdfsfltr.sys
Unexpected end of archive"
I had to download the file and run it from a directory.0 -
