Total Security 2012 3 Computer License

Hello,

I have searched through the knowledge base and the forums.

How do I install Total Security 2012 on my additional two computers? I purchased the three computer license.

I received the registration key in my email but no explanation of the method to install on the additional computers.

I have to be honest. I am not all that immediately impressed with this product but will give it a try.

Where do you look to see which computers are registered with BitDefender? Do you use the same key with all 3 machines?

Please give me some information please.

    Christian,

    Thanks for the information.

Ok, I did just as the guide suggested .

I ran the uninstaller rebooted, installed DKTS (computer2) entered my key code during install on the second computer.

When it was done TS pops up and shows I have 364 days left but it wants to be registered or purchased.

When I click the register button it pops up aerror message and says it can't find dpreg.exe. I searched the computer and I can't find it.

This is what I was afraid of. Don't need the hassles. So exactly how do I get this 2nd computer registered wiith your system.

To be honest this should be a seamless operation.

Please let me know how to get the second and then 3rd computer registered easily.

    Hello :)

For the current situation, let's try something else.

Please follow the steps from below:

    1. Use our uninstall tool in order to uninstall/delete any previous BitDefender related files:

    http://www.bitdefender.com/uninstall

Access the link and when the window with the BitDefender file appears, please choose the "Save to disk" option. Save the tool on the PC, run it(right click and select "Run as administrator" - for Windows Vista/7) and restart the computer when prompted.

    2. Download and install the software and then run it to clean your computer's registry and temporary files:

    http://download.piriform.com/ccsetup318.exe

    http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/usin...gistry-cleaning

Once the cleaning is complete it's recommended to restart your computer.

If you have a registry cleaner already installed, you can use that one.

    3. Install BitDefender using the latest installation kit available for download. Please note that you need to download (save) the installation kit prior to running it.

The BitDefender Total Security 2012 installation kit can be downloaded from here:

    http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/in...r_tsecurity.exe

For more information on the registration process please read:

Should you need further information, please do not hesitate to reply to this message.

    Have a nice day.

    OK Christian,

I did evrything as instructed. I even booted into safe mode and made sure there were no entries in the c:/program files/common files/ directory.

There were no entries for Diskkeeper, Acronis Internet Security, left in the /common files directory.

I used CCleaner as I had that installed and updatedalrady.

I downloaded and saved the totalsecurity install file using your link above.

So, before I start the install again.

Do I assume that I will use my email address that I used to register and install the first installation?

When it askes me in the installation to enter my email address and key, I will use the identical email & key for each install on each seperate computer.

After the install is complete is it a must to immediately go to my email and cliick the link on the email that I receive from BitDefender post install?

Is it mandatory to click on that link in the received email to in essense validate and turn on the software?

I will wait for your reply before I strart the install process again.

BTW, I am installing on mu mothers Win XP-SP3 computer with all the updates. All she does is web surf and skype with the family.

    Thank you.

    Hello :)

Yes, you use the same email address and license key for the installation process.

We recommend you to click on that link received via email to activate Bitdefender. If not, after 15 days you need to enter them manually in the product or you won't receive updates from the servers.

Let me know if you have other questions.

    Take care.

    Christian,

This did not work after explicitly following all the guides and emails. See following quote.

"Ok, I did just as the guide suggested .

This is exactly where I am. Same issues, no change. When I right click the task bar icon , select open, DKTS wants to be registered or purchased.

Then it can't find the registration exe file on my computer.

I clicked on the link in the email sent to me. It opens a web page and says thenks for activating your software and then nothing.

I don't think I want to invest any more time with this as it doesn't work. I'm wasting too much time here.

How do I start the refund process? I will uninstall the software from both computers and would like a refund.

Please advise your returns departments of my efforts here and I would like a refund please.

Thanks for your efforts but this is wat too time consuming.

I am not a computer noob, and know this should not be this difficult.

    Best Regards,

    Lou D.

In addition to the above. I checked the computer where BDTS was installed and it also does not have the dpreg.exe file installed.

So the message I receive that "The Bitdefender license key has expired" is also wrong obviously.

As asked above please contact the purchasing group to start my refund process please.

    Thank you.
