Avast Gone; Bitdefender New

Options

Hi,

I have used Avast for the past 3 - 4 years and I have never had any problems with infections or viruses on my computer. My company purchased Bitdefender for our computers. I un-installed Avast. I have Bitdefender and I am really unhappy. My computer has NEVER ran slow. I keep it very clean and I have a 64-bit OS with 4.00 GB of RAM. I have always used Firefox and I don't plan on changing it.

Please tell me how to have my FAST computer back and still use Bitdefender. I do not want to install it, but I will.

Thank you!

    What is the PC specs?

My desktop runs fine with BIS 2013 installed. My laptop runs OK with BIS 2013 installed also (laptop is much slower hardware wise than my desktop). Avast 7.0 seemed to drag my system down, so I switched. Not only that, but I use to be an avid Avast user until 4 different PCs at two different locations were infected with Seneka and other rootkits/trojans. Passwords were stolen for WoW and email accounts. I don't use Avast anymore because of the problem I had with their detection miss.

    Hello :)

A product update was released. Your build should be 16.18.0.1406(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).
